Our client is looking for a Product Owner with Transaction Banking domain experience. This is a contract role based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Support the definition of product requirements, capabilities, and maturity across APAC markets
- Help design end-to-end customer journeys and front-to-back business processes
- Support test scenario definition and customer migration activities
- Work closely with Business Architecture teams to ensure solutions are standardized across markets
- Partner with IT delivery teams on a day-to-day basis to ensure agreed outcomes are delivered
- Maintain and prioritize product, defect, and BAU backlogs
- Write, review, and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure the backlog is visible, transparent, and well understood by all stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams
- Gather and incorporate feedback from customers, users, and stakeholders
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and reviews
- Ensure delivery teams clearly understand priorities and requirements
- Review completed work to ensure it meets business and customer expectations
- Support decision-making on product scope, features, and priorities
- Balance business needs, customer requirements, and technical constraints
- Manage change requests through a defined change management process
- Monitor market trends, user behaviour, and competitor offerings within transaction banking
- Track product performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support wider team activities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements
- Understanding of transaction banking domains such as cash management, trade finance, treasury, or lending
- Good working knowledge of technology solutions and Agile delivery models
- Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing demands
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with product or delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related discipline (preferred)
