The Product Assistant Manager, based in Singapore, is responsible for managing and maintaining the assigned product portfolio within the Asia Pacific region. The role focuses on day-to-day product operations, product data maintenance, and cross-functional coordination, with strong exposure to regional product strategy and new product initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Product Portfolio Management: Manage and maintain the existing regional product portfolio, ensuring product data, specifications, and documentation are accurate and up to date. Support product lifecycle activities, including new product launches, upgrades, and phase-in phase-out planning. Assist in identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities within the current product portfolio.
- Label Designs Development: Develop, refine, and update product labels in collaboration with internal teams andsuppliers, ensuring designs comply with brand guidelines, aesthetic standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for product-related enquiries. Evaluate, justify and prioritize new product requests from the commercial team. Collaborate closely with R&D and factory teams to support new product development initiatives.
- SKU Codification Support: Support the creation and extension of Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) codes for new and existing products.
- Product Marketing Support: Provide additional support to the Product and Marketing team as required, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and overall project success.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in the product management or product marketing function.
- Experience in the automotive lubricant products, or/and petroleum additives/chemicals, or/and base oil industry is a plus.
