Team Introduction
The TikTok Search Product Team is the driving force behind one of the platform's most critical user experiences - search and discovery. Our mission is to build the world's best search experience that connects billions of users with the content they love and the answers they need on TikTok.
Responsibilities
Search Experience Optimization
- Own and improve TikTok search results quality, accountable for key experience metrics
- Define comprehensive evaluation frameworks combining quantitative metrics (CTR, dwell time, conversion) and qualitative user insights
- Identify optimization opportunities through A/B testing, user research, and data analysis methodologies
Product Strategy & AI Innovation
- Design and implement search optimization strategies through data analysis and user analysis, continuously iterate search experience
- Lead exploration of AI/ML applications across the entire search product and algorithms
Cross-functional & Global Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and local operations teams across multiple regions
- Align product roadmap with business objectives and regional user needs
- Establish clear success metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders including executive leadership
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management or related technical field
- 2+ years of product management experience in large-scale search/recommendation/content platform products which serves 10 million daily active users
- Demonstrated experience improving product metrics, including at least 2 projects with measurable impact
- Proven ability to analyze user behavior data and translate insights into product improvements
- Experience defining product requirements and driving execution with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading end-to-end product development cycles for Search features, from concept to launch
- Experience with Generative AI applications, including at least 1 project involving LLM integration
- Previous experience working with global technology teams across multiple cultural backgrounds and time zones
