Product Manager - 1 Year Contract

Working Hours: 42 hours per week (Monday - Saturday)
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to support digital product development initiatives within the Product Management Practice (PMP). This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy digital products that support organisational transformation initiatives.
You will play a key role in translating operational needs into practical product solutions while collaborating with engineering teams, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful product delivery.
About the Product Management Practice (PMP)
The Product Management Practice (PMP) drives product excellence and best practices across the organisation. PMP focuses on strengthening product management capabilities, supporting the professional growth of Product Managers, and fostering a collaborative product community.
Through knowledge sharing, innovation, and community-driven initiatives, PMP aims to improve the overall product development ecosystem and support impactful digital product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
- Support the design, development, and implementation of digital products that support organisational initiatives.
- Translate operational requirements into practical product solutions and features.
- Participate in product planning, roadmap discussions, and feature prioritisation.
- Contribute to the product lifecycle from concept, development, testing, to deployment.
Technical Collaboration & Deployment
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to deploy applications and product solutions.
- Support application testing, product releases, and deployment activities.
- Ensure products are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with user requirements.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Engage internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and validate product concepts.
- Facilitate collaboration between product, engineering, and operational teams.
- Provide updates on product progress, milestones, and timelines to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
Education
Experience
0 - 3 years of experience in product management, digital product development, business analysis, or related roles.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and application deployment practices.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled products, low-code / no-code platforms, or AI-first product development is an advantage.
Core Competencies
- Strong product thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business objectives into product features and solutions.
- Good stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced project environments with defined timelines and deliverables.
- Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies or product development frameworks is an advantage.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or product delivery frameworks.
- Experience working with digital platforms, product deployment, or application delivery.
- Experience supporting public sector or large-scale digital transformation projects.
