This is a strategic leadership role suited for a product professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, market strategy, and customer engagement.

You will play a key role in shaping product direction across mission‑critical electronics deployed on defence platforms, working closely with engineering, sales, and external partners to deliver differentiated solutions aligned with long‑term defence capability needs.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for defence platform electronics, including mission computers, communications electronics, sensors, and C2 systems.
  • Ensure alignment between product direction, platform roadmaps, defence capability requirements, and sustainment strategies.
  • Drive product differentiation through adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, open systems architectures, and modular electronics.

Market & Business Opportunity Analysis

  • Define target customer segments and map relevant ecosystems to strengthen market positioning.
  • Conduct market sizing and growth analysis (TAM, CAGR) across applicable defence electronics segments.
  • Analyse industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product and investment decisions.
  • Develop three‑year business projections covering revenue, cost structures, and margin expectations.

Go‑to‑Market & Growth Strategy

  • Formulate and execute go‑to‑market strategies across domestic and selected international markets.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with technology providers and channel partners.
  • Drive early technical engagement with emerging technology suppliers to support future programme insertions.
  • Track and assess new electronics technologies relevant to defence platforms, including secure processors, AI accelerators, and advanced sensing solutions.

Channel & Partner Strategy

  • Define partner engagement and channel strategies involving distributors, system integrators, and solution partners.
  • Identify priority markets and partner profiles aligned with business and defence capability objectives.
  • Ensure partner strategies remain aligned with the overall product roadmap.

Product Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to guide product development from concept through deployment.
  • Assess technology readiness levels (TRL) and highlight areas requiring further R&D investment.
  • Support commercial partnership development across the defence ecosystem.

Feasibility & Risk Assessment

  • Evaluate development resource requirements, including technical skills, manufacturing readiness, and scalability.
  • Identify operational, regulatory, competitive, and market risks that could impact programme success.
  • Assess customer adoption risks and market variability to ensure sustainable product planning.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • More than 7 years of experience in defence, aerospace, or high‑reliability electronics environments.
  • Proven background in product management for electronics or embedded systems, ideally on defence platforms.
  • Pre‑sales or customer‑facing technical experience is required.
