Job Overview

We are looking for a candidate who loves to game and has an established understanding of the gaming market trends across Asia. The candidate should possess a sophisticated sense of business acumen to take on the challenge of managing and developing BNE's video games line-up for Asia, with a focus on Southeast Asia-Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. This role sits within the Central Marketing team and will work alongside the Commercial, Digital and Publishing teams within BNE Asia and global teams.

The Product Manager will be responsible for productin formation and asset management. They will manage the day-to-day communications with external and internal teams to provide timely updates, and represent the Southeast Asia region on commercial and/o rproduct development decisions. The ideal candidate needs to be passionate and knowledgeable about gaming, highly organized and detail oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects/products at one time.

Role Objectives

  • Drive the Product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams-Sales, Marketing, Digital-for both BNE and 3rd Party titles.
  • Analyse consumer needs, current market and IP trends, as well as potential partnerships from both an ROI and Build vs. Buy perspective. In turn, to also appraise new product ideas based on market insights and strategize appropriate to-market plans.
  • Develop,implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments, withconsole product packaging as the priority.
  • Champion he SEA perspective within the company across marketing, product development and sales. Externally advocate our strategy to internal and external stakeholders with a proven understanding and deep appreciation of the unique demands of SEA's market(s) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Product/SKU information and assets, ensuring its upkeep with timely updates and dissemination to stakeholders across departments and entities.
  • Oversee the execution of BNE's Product lifecycle: Product readiness and landscape research (Gaming, IP, Console technology etc.), competitive analysis, product planning and positioning, roadmap development and product launch. To also propose, execute, and maintain production timelines for retail bonuses.
  • Analyses sales data and develop Product strategy documents for accountable brands, as well as the Southeast Asia region, specifying commercial objectives (sales forecast), technical and language requirements, product positioning and pricing strategy for all SKUs.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand, Marketing, Digital, Commercial and Publishing teams on thelead up to the release of products

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, Consulting or Business-related fields.
  • Strong bilingual capacity in both English and Japanese (JLPT N1-N2 equivalent). Fluency in Chinese/Mandarin will be a bonus.
  • Proven experience of having led and/or managed a product development lifecycle or complex project, from end-to-end.
  • Experienced with cross-functional team management. Working with overseas counterparts a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), as well as experience working with management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion and interest in Gaming (Console, PC, Mobile etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Gaming/Entertainment Industry.
  • Established knowledge and understanding of SEA gaming communities and platforms.
  • Interest in Japanese pop culture and IPs.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of offline and online product marketing.
  • Avid user of current social / streaming platforms (Discord, TikTok, Instagram etc.).
