Accounting is a half a trillion dollars global industry, with the US alone worth more than 150 billion annually. It is one of the most critical functions for every business it serves. And yet, for all the recent hype around AI, most of the profession still runs on manual work.

At Atlas, we are looking to change this dynamic. We want to build the accounting firm of the future, where AI is embedded natively in each workflow and helps accountants spend less time on grunt work and more time advising their clients. We have raised $6mm in seed funding from Accel and Stellaris, and have strong early momentum that we are looking to double down on.

About the role

You'll sit at the intersection of US tax domain expertise, AI tooling, and product - translating messy CPA workflow problems into working demos, shipping specs engineers trust, and keeping stakeholders aligned across a fast-moving roadmap.

This is not a traditional PM role. You'll prompt models, wire up prototypes, and represent Atlas credibly in front of accountants and engineers alike.

What we're looking for

Domain knowledge:

• 3+ yrs in US tax/accounting at a CPA firm or software company, or fintech serving accountants
• Should feel comfortable doing the work as a junior accountant

AI & Prototyping:

• Power user of frontier AI tools who can evaluate AI output quality for domain accuracy
• Can build a demoable version of a feature within days of a discovery session

Engineering Collaboration:

• Writes specs with clear edge cases and testable acceptance criteria
• Can participate in technical design discussions and understand tradeoffs
