Key Responsibilities
Support product definition by translating client needs into technical specifications requirements.
Develop and refine product designs, prototypes, and validation tests using Solidworks and relevant CAD tools.
Collaborate closely with solution and software development teams to ensure mechanical, electrical, and software components integrate effectively and perform reliably.
Participate in design reviews and system testing to ensure hardware-software compatibility, firmware integration, and overall user experience.
Conduct product testing (functional, reliability, compliance) and drive resolution of issues identified during validation and field trials.
Evaluate manufacturability, cost, and assembly processes, applying DFM/DFA principles to enhance production efficiency.
Coordinate with suppliers and production teams during pilot builds and manufacturing ramp-up to ensure quality and process readiness.
Maintain accurate documentation: design specifications, BOMs, test reports, change records, and technical drawings.
Monitor post-launch product performance, analyze field data, and implement continuous improvements.
Stay informed on new technologies, materials, and manufacturing innovations propose ideas for next-generation product enhancements.
Provide on-site engineering and standby support during product deployment, field testing, and issue troubleshooting
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial design ,Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Product Engineering. (or related discipline).
2-5 years of hands-on experience in product engineering, product design, or development roles.
Familiarity with cross-disciplinary collaboration, particularly with software or IT solution teams.
Proficient in CAD modelling and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD and related CAD tools).
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality assurance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work across engineering, software, and business teams.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Experience in smart devices, IT products, or integrated hardware-software systems..
Understanding of embedded systems, sensors, and hardware interaction.
Knowledge of reliability and compliance testing (safety, EMC, environmental).
Experience with production support, supplier coordination, and product lifecycle management (PLM).
Exposure to cost optimization, DFM/DFA, and root-cause analysis methodologies.
