Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate product and system requirements into feasible mechanical designs, focusing on performance, safety, and production constraints. Develop and test prototypes, analyze results, and iterate on designs to enhance reliability, performance, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle. Create machinery arrangement and layout plans that optimize space utilization, accessibility, safety, and maintenance. Conduct research to gather insights on user needs, market trends, and specific product requirements. Develop detailed designs and prototypes using CAD software, including SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with technical standards and performance expectations. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams, including industrial designers and electrical engineers, to advance products from concept to production. Participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement necessary adjustments based on stakeholder input. Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to affirm the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed designs. Maintain meticulous documentation of designs, including specifications, calculations, and revisions. Execute any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in mechanical product design. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
