Our client is a Marine and Offshore Industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Product Engineer to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design & Development:
- Translate product and system requirement into manufacturable mechanical designs, ensuring performance, safety, and production feasibility.
- Develop and test prototypes, analyze results, and refine designs to enhance reliability, performance, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.
Machinery Arrangement & Layout Planning:
- Design machinery layouts to optimize space, accessibility, safety, and ease of maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate equipment placement to support efficient manufacturing processes.
Product Research & Concept Development:
- Conduct research to identify user needs, market trends, and product requirements.
- Generate detailed design concepts and prototypes using CAD and SolidWorks.
- Create comprehensive mechanical designs, including drawings, models, BOMs, and specifications.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical product design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
