Who we are
Finternet Labs is building the next generation of financial infrastructure.
If you look at global finance today, it resembles the internet before TCP/IP: fragmented systems, expensive integrations, slow settlement, and limited interoperability. Every institution operates in its own silo, which makes innovation hard and access uneven.
We're here to change that.
Just as the internet transformed how information moves, Finternet is about enabling true interoperability across financial systems, at global scale, while respecting regulation, national sovereignty and compliance requirements.
The vision is bold, but clear:
- No single entity controls the infrastructure
- Every financial institution operates on shared, interoperable rails
- End users access financial services through namespaces, much like web pages
- The experience feels consistent, no matter where you are in the world
At Finternet, we are reimagining how digital systems interoperate, bridging the reliability of Web2 scale with the trust guarantees of Web3. Our leadership has built UPI, Aadhaar, and population-scale financial systems, and we're now creating the next generation of open protocols that can operate across banks, blockchains, and sovereign networks.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of design, systems, and intelligent user experiences. You will architect and build the Finternet App, the interface through which users interact with digital identities, credentials, and autonomous agents.
This role combines strong design sensibility with deep product reasoning. You'll transform complex financial and cryptographic systems into intuitive, elegant, and human experiences that tell the Finternet story.
What You'll Do
- A design system and visual language that will scale across multiple products, developer tools, and partner integrations.
- Agentic UX flows, interfaces where AI agents act on behalf of users across banks, blockchains, and sovereign networks simultaneously.
- Credential and identity views, making verifiable credentials and zk-based interactions feel as simple as a boarding pass.
- High-stakes prototypes and live demos for investor roadshows, central bank partners, and developer conferences, these are not throwaway POCs, they are the product.
- Cross-chain and multi-network integrations, your front end will talk to Ethereum, Solana, enterprise blockchains, and legacy banking APIs, often in the same session.
- Performance-critical interfaces that must hold up at population scale, think UPI-level transaction volumes hitting your UI in real time.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of front-end engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a product-critical role at a fintech, or high-scale consumer product.
- Expert-level React and Next.js, you have strong opinions on architecture, state management, and rendering strategies.
- Strong TypeScript discipline, you write typed, testable, maintainable code by default.
- Design system ownership experience, you have built or significantly evolved a component library and visual language.
- Full-stack capability, you can write and own backend services, APIs, and data pipelines when the product demands it. This is a Product Engineer role that spans front-end, backend, and everything in between.
- Performance engineering mindset, you have optimized for real-world scale, not just Lighthouse scores.
- Track record of 01 builds, you have shipped products from scratch, not just maintained existing systems.
- Hands-on experience with Web3 integration, wallets, smart contract interactions, multi-chain architectures, or DeFi interfaces.
- Familiarity with verifiable credentials, digital identity systems, or cryptographic primitives in a product context.
- Experience with Framer Motion, Tailwind CSS, Figma-to-code workflows, or Recharts.
- You have built interfaces for financial products, trading, payments, banking, or lending and understand the trust bar required.
- You think in systems, flows, and stories not just components. You can read a technical whitepaper and immediately see the user experience problem inside it.
- You have strong aesthetic instincts and can defend design decisions with both taste and data.
- You are energized, not intimidated, by ambiguity. Early-stage 01 work is where you do your best work.
- You can engage directly with cryptographers, protocol engineers, and business stakeholders and translate between all of them.
- You care about craft. You will push back on shipping something that is not right.
