Job Description

Who we are

Finternet Labs is building the next generation of financial infrastructure.

If you look at global finance today, it resembles the internet before TCP/IP: fragmented systems, expensive integrations, slow settlement, and limited interoperability. Every institution operates in its own silo, which makes innovation hard and access uneven.

We're here to change that.

Just as the internet transformed how information moves, Finternet is about enabling true interoperability across financial systems, at global scale, while respecting regulation, national sovereignty and compliance requirements.

The vision is bold, but clear:

  • No single entity controls the infrastructure
  • Every financial institution operates on shared, interoperable rails
  • End users access financial services through namespaces, much like web pages
  • The experience feels consistent, no matter where you are in the world

At Finternet, we are reimagining how digital systems interoperate, bridging the reliability of Web2 scale with the trust guarantees of Web3. Our leadership has built UPI, Aadhaar, and population-scale financial systems, and we're now creating the next generation of open protocols that can operate across banks, blockchains, and sovereign networks.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of design, systems, and intelligent user experiences. You will architect and build the Finternet App, the interface through which users interact with digital identities, credentials, and autonomous agents.

This role combines strong design sensibility with deep product reasoning. You'll transform complex financial and cryptographic systems into intuitive, elegant, and human experiences that tell the Finternet story.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement end-to-end front-end systems that make complex agentic and credential flows feel effortless.
  • Translate business and protocol concepts into interactive prototypes and production-grade UX on the Finternet App.
  • Architect modular design components, dashboards, credential views, onboarding flows, and agentic interaction layers.
  • Collaborate deeply with product, protocol, and cryptography teams to turn conceptual systems into user-facing clarity.
  • Develop and maintain Finternet's design system, visual language, motion principles, and UX standards.
  • Build POCs and demos that communicate the Finternet vision to partners, investors, and developer communities.
  • Iterate rapidly with a culture of prototyping, feedback, and refinement, shipping fast while staying polished.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end engineering, product design, or interface architecture.
  • Expert in React / Next.js and strong proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Solid grounding in UI/UX design principles, motion design, and responsive systems.
  • Ability to think in flows, state, and story, translating backend logic into meaningful interaction.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, can engage with designers, researchers, and business stakeholders.
  • Passionate about agentic interfaces, AI-driven experiences, or financial UX.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Framer Motion, Tailwind CSS, or Recharts.
  • Understanding of digital identity, cryptography, or blockchain-based systems.

Why Join Finternet

  • Work with the creators of India's most trusted digital infrastructure, the people behind UPI and Aadhaar.
  • Shape the future of open, interoperable, and secure finance, across banks, blockchains, and nations.
  • Collaborate with top researchers and engineers from blockchain, cryptography, and Web2-scale systems.
  • Contribute to open-source systems with real-world, national-scale impact.
  • Enjoy flexibility, autonomy, and a culture that values depth, curiosity, and craftsmanship.
