About the opportunity

We are expanding our technology consulting talent network to connect Product Engineers and Software Developers with future consulting assignments involving digital product development, prototyping, application enhancement and technology implementation.

Depending on the project, you may work on developing new digital products, building minimum viable products (MVPs), enhancing existing applications, integrating platforms or translating business workflows into scalable software solutions.

We are particularly interested in versatile engineers who can work across the product development lifecycle, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and turn requirements into practical, deployable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements, user needs and product concepts into technical designs and functional software.

• Develop prototypes, MVPs, product features and application enhancements based on project objectives.

• Build and maintain front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs and database integrations where required.

• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, designers, project managers and end users to clarify requirements and prioritise features.

• Participate in solution design, technical feasibility assessments, development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.

• Conduct debugging, performance optimisation and root-cause analysis to resolve technical issues.

• Support user acceptance testing, release management, documentation and knowledge transfer.

• Apply suitable engineering practices to ensure software quality, maintainability, security and scalability.

• Work across changing project requirements and contribute to delivery within agreed timelines.

Skills and experience

• Experience in software development, digital product engineering, application development or a related technical discipline.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with the ability to learn or work across complementary technologies.

• Experience with front-end frameworks, back-end development, APIs and databases, depending on your area of specialisation.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, version control, testing and deployment practices.

• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into workable technical solutions.

• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD, Agile delivery, UX considerations or AI-enabled application development is advantageous.

What we value

Experience developing enterprise applications, internal business tools, customer-facing platforms, workflow automation solutions or prototypes for digital transformation initiatives would be particularly relevant.
