ABOUT EBB & FLOW GROUP
Ebb & Flow Group is a Singapore-based hospitality group that owns and operates restaurants, cafés, and consumer brands across the region. Behind the dining rooms and bar counters, we run a serious technology operation — building production-grade software that drives how we manage inventory, logistics, procurement, and customer engagement across the business.
We're operators who build our own tools — and those tools have grown into a serious product suite running across our group every day.
- Grapestack — enterprise wine inventory with end-to-end tracking, built for the complexity of the wine industry
- SupaDriver — delivery management connecting drivers, dispatchers, and outlets in real time
- Prepper — a kitchen-first recipe workspace where recipes are living objects; drag ingredients, write freeform, auto-cost instantly
- Geddit — a vertical operating system for wine and F&B businesses
- SupaSchedule — events and ticketing built specifically for hospitality
- BearHug — CRM and loyalty platform for tracking customer interactions and driving engagement
- Launchpad — a unified hub giving every employee one place to access all their tools
- Loopback — centralised review management across Google, SevenRooms, and beyond; one feed, full visibility
ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you someone who moves fluidly between product thinking, UI/UX design, and engineering — and feels most at home when you're doing all three That's the shape of this role.
We're looking for a Product Design Engineer (Applied AI) to join our Singapore HQ — someone who sweats the user experience as much as the architecture beneath it, and who understands that the best products are built by people who can see the whole picture.
This is a 360-degree role. You'll gather requirements from stakeholders, shape features into specs, bring design sensibility to what gets built, work alongside our local and remote developers to ship, and own outcomes end to end. You're as comfortable sketching a user flow as you are in a codebase — and you know that the best products are built by people who refuse to hand off and walk away.
You'll report directly to the Digital Product Manager and work across our suite of internal platforms — touching inventory, logistics, procurement, and customer engagement systems that operate at real scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the product lifecycle — from requirements gathering and scoping through to build, QA, and rollout
- Interface with stakeholders across operations, marketing, and commercial teams to translate real-world problems into well-defined product briefs
- Collaborate with engineers locally and remotely — contributing to architectural decisions, reviewing work, and keeping delivery on track
- Build and ship — writing production-quality code as a core part of your output, not a secondary responsibility
- Adapt the process — we have a working product development framework, and we expect you to help sharpen it as we grow
- Stay sharp on tooling — we're an AI-forward team; comfort using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and AI-assisted development workflows is part of how we work
OUR STACK
Primary: Next.js · Node.js · Python · TypeScript · Supabase (PostgreSQL) · Vercel · FastAPI · AI API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, and others)
Secondary: LangChain · LangGraph · Redis · AWS
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or a closely related role — with at least one or two positions held for a meaningful stretch of time
- Strong proficiency in our primary stack: Next.js, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, and Supabase
- A genuine product and design instinct — you've gathered requirements, mapped user flows, sweated UI details, and cared about why something gets built, not just how
- Clear, confident communicator who can hold a room with non-technical stakeholders and earn the trust of engineers in the same day
- Bias toward ownership — you follow things through, flag problems early, and don't wait to be told what to do next
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-context environment where the process is built as you go
EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES MAY HAVE
- Experience shipping features or products end-to-end with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows — using LLMs as an active part of your build process, not just a curiosity
- Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic AI frameworks
- Interest in how technology reshapes operations-heavy industries — logistics, supply chain, F&B, retail
- A portfolio, GitHub, or side projects that show what you build when no one's telling you what to make
APPLY
Include links to your GitHub and/or personal website or portfolio in your application. Not required — but if you've built things you're proud of, we'd love to see them.
WHY JOIN
Hospitality is a trillion-dollar industry running on outdated systems. We're fixing it from the inside out — not as consultants, but as operators who turned hard-won inefficiency into software that actually works.
If you want to build technology that moves a legacy industry forward — and you want to do it as a builder who owns both the product and the code — we'd like to meet you.
