Job Description
We are seeking a highly driven Procurement Specialist to manage strategic sourcing activities for critical direct materials, equipment, and services. This role plays a key part in strengthening supply chain resilience, cost competitiveness, and supplier quality in a global operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for critical direct materials, equipment, and services, establishing strong partnerships with a global network of qualified suppliers.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to secure favorable terms on pricing, quality, delivery schedules, payment terms, and intellectual property protection, while mitigating supply chain and operational risks.
- Implement and manage supplier performance management programs, tracking KPIs related to quality, reliability, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams during new product introduction (NPI) phases to identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, materials, and technologies.
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and risk evaluations to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and business requirements.
- Monitor market trends, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities to support sourcing decisions and long-term supply strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain roles involving direct materials or technical components.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with international suppliers is highly preferred.
