Procurement / Purchasing Officer (Plumbing & Sanitary Construction)

Responsibilities:

• Manage full procurement cycle and handle all material purchases for on-going projects.
• Find, evaluate, and build strong relationships with reliable suppliers, while continuously exploring new potential suppliers.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to get the best value.
• Conduct price comparisons regularly and keep up with new products, materials, and industry trends.
• Maintain and update supplier lists, material price lists, and all procurement records.
• Monitor supplier performance and solve any delivery or quality issues.
• Ensure all procurement documentation, including Purchase Orders and RFQs, are accurate and submitted on time.
• Work closely with site teams and project managers to ensure material requests align with project requirements and optimise ordering.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 23 years of purchasing experience in construction, plumbing, sanitary, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and price negotiation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis for procurement tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with sourcing suppliers online and conducting market research independently.
