Procurement & Product Sourcing Executive

Materia is a growing home product and design discovery business focused on sourcing, curating and bringing together practical products, materials and solutions for modern homes.

We are looking for a Procurement & Product Sourcing Executive who enjoys discovering products, working with suppliers and turning good product ideas into commercially viable offerings.

What You Will Do

• Source suitable home, interior, renovation and lifestyle products from local and overseas suppliers
• Identify new suppliers, manufacturers and factories
• Request quotations, compare pricing and negotiate commercial terms
• Coordinate product samples, specifications, lead times and minimum order quantities
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Assist in selecting products for Materia's showroom, online store and future product collections
• Research new product trends, materials, hardware, storage solutions and home-living products
• Work closely with the design and marketing team to understand what products customers are looking for
• Maintain accurate product, supplier, costing and pricing records
• Coordinate purchase orders, deliveries and supplier follow-ups
• Monitor product quality and raise issues with suppliers when necessary
• Support overseas sourcing and customised product requests
• Assist in developing product bundles and curated solutions for homeowners
• Keep track of margins and ensure products remain commercially viable

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, interior products, renovation materials, furniture, construction supplies or related industries is preferred
• Comfortable communicating and negotiating with suppliers
• Organised and able to manage multiple suppliers and product enquiries
• Good understanding of pricing, costing and margins
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Interested in home products, materials, interior design and product trends
• Comfortable working with Excel or similar systems for costing and supplier records
• Mandarin speaking or writing ability will be an advantage when communicating with overseas suppliers and factories
• Experience sourcing from China or other overseas markets will be an advantage
