Key Responsibilities

Contracting & Commercial Advisory

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of procurement, technology, and commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, managed services, professional services, outsourcing, and digital transformation contracts.
  • Provide legal and commercial guidance throughout the procurement lifecycle, ensuring contractual arrangements appropriately protect company's interests.
  • Identify and mitigate legal, commercial, operational, and technology-related risks in contracts and procurement engagements.
  • Support contract governance, approvals, record management, and contract administration processes.

Legal & Regulatory Advisory

  • Advise on legal and regulatory matters relating to procurement activities, including:
  • Contract law
  • Intellectual property rights
  • Data protection and privacy laws
  • Cybersecurity regulations and requirements
  • Technology and digital services regulations
  • Corporate governance and compliance obligations
  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and provide guidance on their impact to procurement and business operations.
  • Support investigations, dispute management, and resolution of contractual issues where required.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Finance, and business teams to provide practical and commercially sound legal solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop contract templates, playbooks, policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct legal and contractual risk assessments and provide recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Deliver training and awareness programmes on contracting, procurement governance, compliance, and legal risk management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support initiatives to improve procurement contracting processes, governance frameworks, and operational efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized contractual documentation and procurement policies.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, innovation, and continuous learning across the organization.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

At least 8 - 10 years experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems

· Minimally a bachelor's degree from a reputable university (a degree in Law and/or relevant PQE gained in legal practice or in-house would be an advantage)

· A second degree in IT or exposure to digital, IT, or technology‑driven industries and familiarity with IT architectures and delivery models is a plus.

· Strong analytical ability with an integrated legal, commercial, and technology‑aware mindset.

· A constructive and proactive attitude and approach towards innovation and tech developments, always keen to learn and adapt.

· Excellent applied compliance and regulatory, contracting and negotiation competencies with high capacities, to provide agile, accurate and effective advice, in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, embracing constructive and collegial teamwork, within department and with other departments and stakeholders.

· Excellent spoken and written English.

· Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
