About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Air Procurement professional to join our Singapore team. This role will be responsible for managing airline relationships, negotiating rates and capacity agreements, monitoring market developments, and driving procurement performance to support the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and execute Company's strategic airline and procurement strategies to support business requirements and enhance market competitiveness.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with airline partners and key suppliers.
- Lead negotiations on rates, capacity commitments, service agreements, and contract terms with carriers.
- Secure competitive capacity solutions and optimize carrier selection and routing strategies
- Evaluate carrier performance and drive continuous improvements in service quality, capacity utilization, operational reliability, and supplier accountability.
- Monitor market conditions, airline capacity developments, and industry trends to formulate procurement strategies and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, capacity enhancement, and supplier performance improvement.
- Provide market intelligence and procurement recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with operations, pricing, and product teams to support business objectives customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics, including at least 5 years in air procurement, carrier management, or related functions.
- Proven experience in airline negotiations, supplier management, and procurement strategy execution.
- Strong network and established relationship with airlines in Singapore and Asia.
- In-depth understanding of airfreight market dynamics and carrier management practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent command of English; additional Asian language capabilities will be an advantage.
