Role Overview
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality, compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services that support business operations and growth.
This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive strategic sourcing, contract management, and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and purchase execution.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and supplier performance.
- Support business needs by ensuring timely and effective procurement of goods and services.
2. Vendor & Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers and service providers.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract reviews, renewals, and performance management.
- Establish clear SLAs and monitor vendor performance against agreed metrics.
3. Cost Management & Optimisation
- Drive cost savings initiatives through strategic sourcing, demand management, and vendor consolidation.
- Track procurement spend and identify opportunities for efficiency and value creation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to procurement spend.
4. Process, Policy & Compliance
- Establish and improve procurement policies, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to governance, audit, and risk management requirements.
- Drive standardisation and best practices across procurement workflows.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Finance, Legal, Business Teams) to understand requirements and priorities.
- Provide procurement guidance and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Act as a trusted advisor on sourcing, vendor selection, and commercial terms.
6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report procurement KPIs, including cost savings, vendor performance, and cycle times.
- Identify gaps and continuously improve procurement processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Support system enhancements or digitalisation initiatives where applicable.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost optimisation.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
