Overview

Our client is a listed US-MNC in expansion phase.

They are currently building up their Procurement team and in need to bring strategic and driven professional to lead their efforts in their transformation.

As Global Category Manager you will be responsible to manage corporate spend for Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other consultancy services (Est. spend $50M USD).

  • Reporting to Procurement Director (based in SG)
  • Newly created positon due to expansion (individual contributor)
  • Full-time, permanent role (office located Central/North-East Singapore)

At this position you will be expected to design, present, and implement category, contract, supplier management strategies. Create and design supplier's scorecards, conduct spend analysis, new supplier sourcing, and engage/influence stakeholders across different geographic locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of regional/global experience in strategic procurement (category/commodity management) role covering professional services spend within an MNC environment
  • Experienced in manufacturing and fast-paced environments is highly preferred
  • Strong communication (business presentations) and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven track-record engaging and partnering with suppliers across multiple locations
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba would be an advantage
