Are you passionate about plants and trees, with a knack for procurement and vendor management We're looking for a Procurement Executive cum Horticulturist to join our team and help us source, care for, and deliver the best greenery to our garden centre customers. This unique role blends business acumen with horticultural expertise-ideal for someone who thrives in both negotiations and nurturing nature.
What You'll Do
- Source and procure plants and trees based on customer needs and product requirements.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate favourable terms, and onboard new suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock without excessive holding costs.
- Inspect product quality on arrival and guide nursery staff on placement and care.
- Prevent and treat plant pests and diseases, plan treatments, and oversee application of fertilizers and pesticides.
- Maintain detailed records of procurement and plant health.
- Oversee pruning, trimming, and maintenance to ensure plants thrive.
- Provide expert advice to clients on plant and tree care best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, pest management, and horticultural practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance procurement efficiency with horticultural quality standards.
