Procurement Engineer

Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying requirements, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluating suppliers, and processing purchase orders in line with company policies. The Procurement Engineer will collaborate with technical, project, and operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of equipment, materials, and services for offshore projects. Daily tasks include analyzing bids, negotiating commercial terms, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring delivery performance, and supporting continuous improvement of procurement procedures. The role also involves maintaining accurate procurement records, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in supplier evaluation and vendor assessment to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Candidates should possess experience in managing purchase orders, including preparation, review, and tracking through to delivery and invoicing.
• Candidates should possess the ability to prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQs), analyze bids, and support negotiation of commercial terms.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills for cost comparison, market analysis, and data-driven decision-making in procurement activities.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional project teams.
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in the oil and gas or offshore industry, with knowledge of rig equipment and technical materials, is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems, and an understanding of commercial and contractual terms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
