Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Procurement Engineer / Senior Procurement Engineer (Fabrication & Structure) to join our Materials Department. You will play a key role in developing and managing suppliers for precision machining, sheet metal, and structural fabrication parts used in high-performance semiconductor and automation equipment. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and a drive to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify new suppliers for fabrication and structural components such as precision machined parts, enclosures, sheet metal, and welded frames.
- Evaluate and enhance supplier performance, capacity, and capability to align with the company's growth and quality objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, lead time, and contractual terms to ensure best value procurement.
- Initiate and implement cost-reduction and value-engineering programs with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier competitiveness and reliability.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to resolve technical or delivery issues.
- Prepare and analyze procurement data, and maintain accurate supplier records in the ERP system.
- Mentor and share procurement best practices to strengthen team capability.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the semiconductor equipment, automation, or precision manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, and metal structure processes.
- Hands-on experience in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
