Job Scope:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with Company goals, cost targets, and quality standards
- Source, quality and manage local and overseas suppliers for key components and materials
- Constantly look for alternative sources and strive for cost reductions
- Spearhead and negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and Supplier agreements (if any) to achieve optimal cost savings and value for the Company
- Develop framework and evaluate Supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness and spearhead to initiate corrective actions when necessary
- Support NPI by coordinating RFQ and sourcing activities and ensuring Supplier readiness for ramp-up
- Spearhead to ensure RFQ and/or cost down efforts are completed within Company desired timeframe
- Lead demand forecasting, material planning, and production scheduling to ensure on-time material availability
- Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet delivery and production milestones
- Oversee MRP and ensure data integrity within ERP systems for Procurement and Supply Chain modules
- Oversee and ensure all POs are loaded to Suppliers in a timely manner
- Oversee and spearhead to balance supply and demand effectively to prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Develop, establish and monitor inventory control policies to optimise stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and improve inventory turnover (under 45 days)
- Develop and implement effective management of slow-moving and obsolete components and materials
- Spearhead to conduct regular inventory reviews, audits, and cycle counts to maintain high accuracy
- Overseas inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely, cost-efficient movement of goods
- Manage import/export operations, shipping documentation, and custom compliance
- Work closely with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimise delivery routes and lead times
- Enhance procurement and supply chain workflows through automation and ERP optimisation
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and trade compliance regulations
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of supply chain, planning and purchasing associates
- Support career development and skill upgrading for supply chain personnel
- Generate reports for Management Review
- Oversee and ensure Suppliers are paid in a timely manner
Skills, Qualifications and Traits Required:
- Degree in any Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering field with at least 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a similar industry
- Excellent know-how of MRP in ERP system
- Possess knowledge cable assembly, box build assembly and system integration
- Strong cost analysis and supplier benchmarking capabilities
- Familiar with ethical sourcing
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to manage multi-sites
- Possess good leadership skills and a team player
