Job Description
Wood has an opportunity for a Process Safety Lead (Pharma) to be responsible for process safety delivery in the project, following our client's Process Safety Management frameworks.
The Process Safety Lead should also serve as Local SHE representative as part of the client's team, responsible for highlighting to the project the local rules and regulations in terms of planning application, emission registers, environmental and safety studies, etc.
The Process Safety Lead will support the Project Technical Manager and the Engineering SHE Lead for the delivery of SHE matters.

Responsibilities
The Process Safety Lead is responsible for ensuring that Process Safety is fully integrated into the Design, engineering, construction and commissioning phases of the Project. You will:
- Act as the technical authority for Process Safety, ensuring compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Develop, maintain, and govern the project's process safety strategy, standards, and corporate policies.
- Lead and coordinate process hazard analyses (HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, safety reviews) across the full project lifecycle.
- Own and manage all process safety deliverables, ensuring they are completed to scope, quality, and schedule, with progress reporting to management.
- Liaise closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including SHE, operations, engineering, consultants, and third-party specialists.
- Ensure contractors, suppliers, and project partners meet defined process safety and SHE expectations.
- Support construction, mechanical completion, operational readiness, and Pre Start-up Safety Reviews with relevant process safety and local standards input.

You will be able to work lawfully in Singapore and hold full working rights for this location.
- A degree in Engineering, backed by extensive hands-on experience and a strong command of Process Safety principles, including inherent safer design.
- 10+ years of process safety experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or similarly regulated environments.
- A high level of expertise in applicable international codes, standards, and best‑practice frameworks governing process safety.
- In‑depth knowledge of Singapore and international Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) legislation, with the ability to apply it pragmatically.
- A proven ability to lead and influence across complex, cross‑functional interfaces, aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Sound risk‑based judgement, enabling confident decision‑making in technically complex and high‑impact scenarios.
