Process / Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Manufacturing / Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement, enhance production efficiency, and ensure robust process documentation within our switchgear manufacturing facility. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design engineering and the shop floor, providing vital technical support to production teams, resolving manufacturing bottlenecks, and championing the implementation of modern manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Documentation:

• Design, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing processes, and detailed work instructions (WI) specifically for switchgear production.

Production Support:

• Provide real-time engineering technical support to assembly and testing teams to swiftly resolve manufacturing issues and minimize floor downtime.

Root Cause Analysis:

• Troubleshoot production anomalies, conduct root cause investigations, and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate recurrence.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and execute opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate waste(Lean/5S), and elevate overall product quality and line efficiency.

System Implementation:

• Support the deployment, commissioning, and optimization of new manufacturing execution systems (MES), specialized tools, and advanced equipment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, and Production teams to meet plant performance KPIs and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  Candidates holding a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with robust, relevant process engineering experience in a manufacturing plant are highly welcome to apply.

  Skills & Attributes:

• Strong analytical mindset with proven problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

  Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage floor priorities effectively.

  Excellent written, verbal communication, and technical presentation skills.

  Language Advantage:

• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is a strong advantage (to facilitate smooth communication with regional suppliers and stakeholders regarding technical specifications).
