Job Summary
The Process Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for producing state-of-the-art microfluidic products for life science applications. This role involves developing, setting up, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure high product quality, yield, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead process setup, validation, optimization, and continuous improvement activities for manufacturing operations.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts to monitor process capability, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
- Support material qualification and change management, including supplier materials, alternate materials, and process inputs.
- Drive yield improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, data-driven problem solving, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Troubleshoot product and process issues, collaborating cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain teams.
- Maintain relevant technical documentation and generate reports for changes to process, material and equipment
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager in support of business and operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline with 0-3 years of relevant experience OR Diploma in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Relevant experience from Life Sciences, medical device, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Good understanding or hands-one exposure to SPC, DOE, and process data analysis.
- Awareness of ISO 13485, GMP, or regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn structured troubleshooting methodologies like A3, Fishbone or 8D.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment for extended hours as required.
