Job Summary
You will manage tooling drawings and specifications, lead projects to ensure efficient tooling execution, and apply technical solutions to improve production yield, quality, cycle-time, and cost in a plastic injection molding environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage tooling drawings, specifications filing, and maintenance to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Lead project management activities to execute tooling smoothly and efficiently according to agreed plans
- Perform technical evaluations and develop solutions to resolve production issues and enhance yield, quality, process cycle-time, and cost efficiency
- Conduct process mapping and collect production data to analyze and infer actionable insights for continuous improvement
- Utilize CAD software to design and modify tooling components aligned with project requirements and quality standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in plastic injection molding environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
- Proficiency in project management principles and practices
- Strong interest in pursuing technical solutions and breakthroughs
