Job Description

Lead and oversee structural construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards, while managing stakeholders and driving overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage multiple structural construction projects across all phases
  • Develop project strategies, schedules, and execution plans
  • Ensure timely completion within approved budget and quality standards

Technical & Structural Oversight

  • Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulations
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and resolve issues effectively

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, and financial performance
  • Review and approve variations, claims, and major expenditures
  • Ensure profitability and cost efficiency across projects

Contract & Risk Management

  • Manage main contracts and subcontracts
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Handle contractual matters, disputes, and claims

Team Leadership & Resource Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage project managers, engineers, and site teams
  • Plan and allocate manpower and resources efficiently
  • Drive team performance and accountability

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards and procedures
  • Enforce workplace safety and regulatory compliance
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites

Regulatory & Authority Coordination

  • Liaise with relevant authorities for approvals, submissions, and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with local building regulations

Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and performance metrics
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant construction experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
