The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role involves analyzing existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing practical solutions to enhance overall process performance. The Process Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes and successful production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes or process improvements to optimize production operations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed process changes or investments in new equipment and technologies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowcharts, to ensure consistent execution.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure process changes align with product specifications and quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot process-related issues, driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Apply statistical methods and data analysis techniques to monitor process performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to implement process improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to production staff and junior engineers.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 13485.
- Review and maintain production process specifications and trigger updates to control plans when changes occur.
- Support ad hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management
