Position Summary
The Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, enhance quality, and reduce operational costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal stamping, quality systems (ISO9001, IATF16949), and process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing processes for metal stamping operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce process improvements and support new product introduction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for process-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality management systems (ISO9001, IATF16949).
- Participate in internal audits and support external audits related to process and quality systems.
- Create and maintain documentation related to processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train operators and production staff on updated processes and new procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Stamping
- Certified Internal Auditor for IATF16949 and ISO9001, with a strong understanding of quality management systems.
- Proven experience in metal stamping processes, die design, tooling, and material selection.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with documentation practices, audit procedures, and continuous improvement tools.
