Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our team in the design and optimization of green ammonia plants. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sustainable ammonia production processes, leveraging renewable energy sources and innovative technologies. This position requires expertise in process design, simulation, and optimization, as well as a passion for advancing green energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Development:
- Design and develop process flows for green ammonia production, including electrolyzers, nitrogen separation units, and ammonia synthesis systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations to evaluate performance and efficiency.
Optimization and Innovation:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and energy efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact and carbon footprint.
Project Collaboration:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to integrate process designs.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including technology providers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Technical Analysis and Documentation:
- Perform mass and energy balance calculations, equipment sizing, and specification development.
- Prepare detailed process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and technical reports.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure process designs meet industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments to ensure operational safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in ammonia production or renewable energy projects.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of ammonia synthesis processes, including Haber-Bosch and alternative green ammonia technologies.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems, such as hydrogen production via electrolysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the design and operation of hydrogen or ammonia plants.
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration and storage solutions.
- Project management experience in large-scale industrial projects.
