Job Description

Job Title – Process Development Associate

Function – Manufacturing

Location – Singapore (Onsite)

About The Role

We are supporting a well-funded, clinically advanced biotechnology organisation to hire a Process Development Associate within their Manufacturing team. The company is focused on developing next-generation biologics and cell-based therapies, with a strong pipeline and global partnerships already in place. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth environment where science and manufacturing are closely integrated, offering strong exposure to process development, scale-up, and technology transfer activities.

Key Responsibilities

Process Development & Bioreactor Operations

  • Execute mid- to large-scale bioreactor runs in line with production and development schedules
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues, performing root cause analysis
  • Design and run experiments to optimise process performance
  • Document findings and recommend improvements to processes and techniques

Cell Culture

  • Perform routine and large-scale mammalian cell culture
  • Support process optimisation through experimental work
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges

Technical Transfer

  • Support technology transfer activities to external manufacturing partners
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation in line with internal standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful process transfer

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare, analyse, and present experimental data
  • Communicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders

Laboratory Operations

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure housekeeping standards
  • Follow all laboratory procedures and compliance requirements

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards
  • Identify and report risks or hazards
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (or related field)
  • 4–5 years experience in cell biology, bioprocessing, or cell therapy
  • Hands-on experience in aseptic cell culture techniques
  • Exposure to bioreactor processes is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
