Contract Duration: 1-year

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • The BS team seek greater ability to line up a comprehensive product menu including equity, fixed income, FX, funds, and structured products as routes to markets to the investment views expressed by CIO. Together with other Private Banking Credit Line (PBCL) lending products and wealth products (e.g. insurance and trust services), the BS team aim to wealth solutions that would better meet the individual needs of high net worth clients.
  • Conduct analysis to examine competitors landscape and to assist in developing new or enhancing product and services for the private bank to maintain its competitiveness in the market.
  • On-going evaluation of new or existing products with the intention of identifying product themes/ features/positioning for private banking clients.

Business Performance and Management

  • To develop and enhance the overall product infrastructure and wealth solutions suite for Private Banking clients from around the region.
  • To support with analysis and presentation/training preparation relating to provide product advice and recommendation.
  • To support bringing to fruition the offer of products to customers, including obtaining approvals from key stakeholders/committees, designing or enhancing end-to-end processes (from trade execution, booking, processing, checks/controls, settlement, trade confirmation), and documentation for operational readiness. Additionally, providing business requirements, performing testing and ensuring successful deployment for system readiness.
  • To support conducting due diligence on counterparties or completing due diligence from counter parties, and obtaining necessary management/committee approvals.
  • Monitor and provider regular update on product performance.
  • Identify gaps or weaknesses in current processes or controls, and propose necessary improvements.
  • To further assist in other matters related to BS (for example, launching product campaigns, providing or arranging for training, prepare pitch books, review product risk rating, review client fee schedule).

People Management

  • To work closely with product and investment specialists, as well as private bankers so as to enhance the team's ability to help achieve Private Banking (Singapore) long term growth initiatives.
  • To manage relationship with internal stakeholder and product providers to ensure all products/services are managed and maintained properly on an on-going basis.

Regulatory Compliance

  • To be compliant with all regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Possess a relevant Bachelor's Degree such as accounting, finance, business management, etc. from a reputable university

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing Requirements

  • CFA or equivalent is preferred

Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of the private banking business, as well as various investment products, such as equities, fixed income, mutual funds, structured products, and other wealth products
  • Able to provide a holistic and integrated approach to investment strategies and product offerings for better development and delivery of wealth solutions

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Highly self-motivated, passionate in relevant field of investment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills

Personal Skills (Soft Competencies)

  • Team player, and has the ability to work well with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Must be diligent, disciplined, and organized
