A regional Private Bank is seeking an experienced Operations professional to support its Private Banking business. This role covers end-to-end operational matters across wealth management products, with exposure to settlements, corporate actions, system initiatives, and risk control. The position works closely with Front Office, IT, and regional stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling settlement and post-trade processing for Private Banking investment products including equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products, structured deposits, and DCIs.
- Managing corporate actions, position reconciliation, client statements, and operational issues relating to remittances and deposits.
- Supporting system initiatives including UAT participation, acting as a trainer for new systems, and managing SWIFT Alliance operations including payment releases.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including head office counterparts, to resolve operational issues and support ad-hoc duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of banking operations experience, with strong exposure to Private Banking / PWM operations.
- Self-motivated and independent, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Avaloq system knowledge is an advantage.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking head office counterparts.
