Details of the Division and Team:
Private Bank (PB) Divisional Control Office (DCO) Team is part of the PB (1st Line of Defence) business and is responsible for competently addressing Risk & Control advisory, assessing & interpreting New Regulations & Regulatory Consultation Papers, Risk & Control Assessments, Operational Risk, Reputational Risk, Audit validation, New Product Approval framework etc. among others.
PB Emerging Markets (EM) DCO team works closely on Risk & Control related tasks with business and control functions like COO, Transformation, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal and AFC, regionally and globally.
Within the PB EM DCO team, Regulatory Affairs is one of the key areas handled, which entails competently addressing Regulatory changes throughout the entire lifecycle of the legislative process - starting from the early phases in the development of individual regulatory plans (Consultation Papers), to carrying out the Interpretation of new Regulations, once these are issued by the Regulators, for the Transformation & Change team to then pick these up for gap analysis & implementation.
The close integration of the various teams and their regulatory expertise creates a coordinated and efficient regulatory governance structure, along with the capability to meet today's expanded challenges in all the areas that continue to be focused by the Regulators.
PB DCO Regulatory Affairs works closely with the business units and the other infrastructure functions, including Compliance & Legal, and has the following tasks and responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities:
The candidate, will be part of PB Emerging Markets DCO team, reporting directly into the PB EM Regional DCO and will be based in Singapore. He/she will be responsible for the following key tasks -
Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date Regulatory pipeline for PB Business in EM by coordinating with relevant stakeholders in the region on applicability assessments.
To provide high level interpretation via Brief Overviews and providing regular updates / focus topics to stakeholders including Senior Management.
To assess impact of regulation via Interpretation and Impact Assessment document including regulatory requirements and its impact on PB business model and processes. Responsible for coordinating the applicability, impact assessment and interpretation related discussions and reviews, conduct initial gap analysis, document regulatory requirements and work with the PB Transformation team to then hand over the Regulation for this team to pick up on the detailed gap analysis and execution.
Assess the relevance of regulatory developments (including extra-territorial impact of global regulations to EM) for PB business, working closely with all relevant stakeholders in the region/ globally.
Support on status updates for relevant regulations/ regulatory projects for PB Regulatory Affairs related forums and working groups that become inputs for updates to the Global/Regional teams.
To support the wider DCO activities such as Monitoring and Quality Assurance of Risk & Controls (including Reputational risk related coordination), audit issue validation/closure related coordination, Scenario Analysis, Risk & control assessment, as required.
Coordination of the New Product Approval (NPA) and Systematic Product Review (SPR) related governance and functional approvals.
Coordination with business stakeholders, tracking of activities, preparing status updates, quality assurance results to support the PB EM DCO team.
Your skills and experience:
Prior and relevant Wealth Management /Private Banking experience between 8-10 years - in Operational Risk, Compliance, COO / Projects, Regulatory affairs, Risk & Controls or in a comparable internal control function related to Wealth Management / Private Banking related to coordination/ execution roles, with exposure & experience in handling New Regulations related coordination activities.
Good knowledge of and keen interest in Regulatory analysis and/or change management related to Regulations, coupled with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in this area.
Relevant experience in Risk & Control related function, with exposure to the broader Non Financial Risk elements related to areas like New Product Approvals, Reputational Risk & Risk appetite and related areas.
Experience in producing reports and presentations with MS Office programmes (in particular, PowerPoint and Excel)
Strong analytical skills with Multitasking abilities and good workplace organisational skills to be able to set priorities correctly and meet the specified deadlines.
Outgoing team player with solid communication skills to be able to moderate and handle engagements.
