This is a CONTRACT POSITION subject to extension or conversion to full-time
The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to act as a vital bridge between a major global technology platform and its users in South Korea. In this role, you will serve as a dedicated point of contact for data protection inquiries, ensuring that user rights are respected and regulatory requirements are met with the highest level of professionalism.
Based in Singapore but operating on Korean business hours, you will handle sensitive inquiries, manage official communications, and ensure that complex privacy requests reach the right internal experts.
Core Responsibilities
- User Advocacy & Support: Serve as the primary voice for users calling or emailing regarding their data rights. You will manage inbound phone calls, emails, and physical correspondence in Korean.
- Case Management: Meticulously document user concerns, identifying the core issue-whether it's a data access request, a correction, or a general privacy complaint-and logging it into internal systems.
- Strategic Triage: Determine the urgency and nature of each inquiry. You'll be responsible for routing non-privacy issues to the correct departments while ensuring all privacy-related matters are escalated to operations teams within 24 hours.
- Regulatory Alignment: Maintain precise records of all interactions to support potential audits. You will work closely with legal and data protection teams to ensure every response aligns with South Korean personal information protection standards.
- Reporting: Track inquiry trends and volumes to help the organization improve its privacy workflows.
Who You Are
- Bilingual Expert: You possess native-level fluency in Korean (written and spoken) to assist users effectively, alongside professional English skills for internal coordination.
- Detail-Oriented: You have 1-3 years of experience in compliance, customer success, or administrative roles where accuracy and data integrity were paramount.
- Discreet: You understand the weight of handling personal information and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable navigating internal databases and standard office software.
Preferred Assets
- Prior experience in data protection or regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with the South Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
- Experience working within a global corporate environment.
