About the Role
The Principal Temenos T24 / Transact Engineer is a senior, hands-on role responsible for designing, developing, and evolving the core banking platform within an agile, high-performing technology environment. This role plays a key part in platform modernization, complex integrations, and delivery excellence, while providing technical leadership and mentoring across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Temenos Transact (T24) solutions using TAFJ, jBASE Infobasic, Java, and related technologies.
- Implement customizations, configurations, upgrades, and performance optimizations on the T24 platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues, providing L3 support.
- Perform unit and integration testing and support UAT to ensure solution quality.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, promoting best engineering practices.
- Stay current with Temenos T24 advancements and recommend continuous improvements.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as a Temenos T24 / Transact Engineer or Lead within banking or financial services.
- Strong hands-on expertise in TAFJ, jBASE Infobasic, Java (L3).
- Solid experience with Python, Oracle & PostgreSQL databases, Linux scripting, and deployment architecture.
- Proven experience in T24 upgrades, data migration, performance tuning, and platform optimization.
- Deep knowledge of T24 modules: CORE/System, Securities, MM, LD, FOREX.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Design Studio, Jira, Confluence).
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, including TDD / BDD and modern engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
