Principal Software Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Working across multiple scrum teams to ensure we are working with common, best practice patterns and methodologies.

. Look towards to future evaluate new opportunities and potential technology partners

. Enforce standards and provide guidelines for such things as scalability, performance, and security.

. Meet regularly with our product team to ensure the company's system architecture aligns with company goals and business objectives.

. Evangelizing new technologies and processes.

. Working closely with the product, data science, and SRE teams to design, build, and deploy highly scalable and efficient core platform services that drive company-wide value and make an impact.

. Being responsible for the delivery of data and information critical for Sojern's business decisions and strategic planning.

. Mentor more junior engineers and become the team's de facto technical leader.

. Researches and proposes new technologies/processes

. Go-to expert within the team understands the broad architecture of the system Often plays the architect role in the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

. At least 10 years of software engineering experience

. Prior experience in AdTech, specifically with Display, Facebook, audience targeting, SEM and Meta Search. Data ingestion, ID Syncing, client side pixels, identity management and cross device matching.

. Ability to document and communicate complex architectures

. Experience with at least 2 of the following: Golang, Python, React, Node, Javascript/Typescript, Java

. Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL and columnar databases.

. Experience with distributed systems.

. Experience on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform

. Excellent grasp of CS fundamentals - data structures and algorithms.

. Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
