Our client is a well-established regional bank in Singapore with a significant presence across Asia, Europe, and North America. They are currently accelerating their digital transformation and are seeking a Principal Architect to design the backbone of their future banking capabilities.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the architectural design of secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure. Your primary focus will be supporting high-impact digital initiatives, specifically withinBig Data platforms, Machine Learning pipelines, and Generative AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Architecture: Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions across Cloud-Native, Hybrid Cloud, and On-Premise environments.
- AI & Data Enablement: Architect specialized network, compute, and storage fabrics required to support advanced Analytics and AI/ML workloads.
- Financial Governance: Conduct rigorous cost-benefit analysis and review infrastructure project costs prior to budget submissions.
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate with application owners and enterprise architects to ensure all designs meet strict regulatory and security standards.
- Standards & Best Practices: Define, maintain, and continuously improve regional IT infrastructure guidelines and architectural blueprints.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant IT experience, with a mandatory minimum of 3 years serving as an Infrastructure Architect specifically within Big Data and AI/ML domains.
- Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Cloud Computing, Containerization/Microservices (Docker/K8s), Virtualization, and Data Lake architectures.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven track record in designing for complex networking, storage, and security principles.
- Industry Background: Prior experience within Financial Services (Banking) or other heavily regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
