. Responsible for taking leadership over a process within the group including engineers and leads and drives improvement projects (cost, yield, capacity, capability, etc) for process steps under his / her responsibility. Ensures work packages assigned are executed on schedule and meeting agreed targets.
. Responsible for meeting yield targets for his / her process. To troubleshoot and resolve problems affecting yield.
. Ensure process steps under his / her responsibility are producing products with the quality, output that is specified (based on OEE). This includes responding appropriately, in good time to SPC, HO-SPC, EMS, QN's triggers.
. Collaborate with Technology counterparts globally on process alignment and qualification of new processes, suppliers and consumables if needed.
. Updates himself / herself with recent developments and innovations in technology for silicon wafer processing.
. Apply problem solving methods (8D, Fishbone, DOE etc.) and risk analysis (like FMEA).
. Supports training programs for process steps under his / her responsibility to staff. May be required to co-supervisor trainee or industrial attachment students for projects.
. Participates in cross-functional teams for projects (e.g., KRA, committees).
. May be assigned as team member for customer account, responsible as Process Technology interface. Assist Application Technology team to ensure customer needs are coordinated and translated to manufacturing line, while balancing the manufacturing needs.
. Responsible to ensure relevant documentation under his / her charge are observed, updated, and maintained.
. Represent and present on behalf of Technology in meetings (Internal and External) i.e., Integration meeting, Quality meetings, Career Job fairs etc.
. Contributes to improving safety in production for his / her process step. This includes ensuring documents such as JHA's are updated and relevant.
. He / she shall summarize activities in monthly report for his/her team and submits to Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
. Preferably Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Materials Science, Microelectronics, or Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics). Masters degree or Ph.D. is an advantage.
. Experience in Process Development is preferred.
. Knowledge of quality management systems, data analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC)
. Proficient in statistical software like JMP, visual basic, database and queries will be an added advantage
. Able to work independently but also a team player.
. Good analytical and critical thinking.
. Systematic problem-solving ability.
. Good communication and leadership skills.
