Role Summary
The Principal Engineer provides technical leadership in wet process development, leading project‑level initiatives, guiding integration and transfer readiness, and establishing wet process roadmaps aligned to future NAND scaling requirements. Leads complex experiments and cross‑functional execution, delivering measurable results at department/site scope. Provides mentorship aligned to technical leadership expectations and strengthens documentation / SOP governance.
Main Responsibilities
Process Development & Margin Improvement
Lead project‑level initiatives focused on wet process development for NAND memory technology.
Carry out complex experiments and provide integration support to enable robust process windows and yield improvement.
Cross‑functional Integration & Transfer
Collaborate with multiple functions to facilitate technology transfer and assist in process ramp‑up activities.
Support corrective actions and fixing for process issues and ensure transfer readiness from R&D to manufacturing.
Innovation / Supplier Engagement
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in wet processing and characterization to inform strategy.
Engage suppliers and stakeholders to mature process capability (e.g., vapor etch, wet strip, dry strip, selective chemical etching).
Monitoring, Control & Documentation (Governance)
Maintain accurate records prepare comprehensive technical reports contribute to SOPs and knowledge management systems.
Ensure safety, quality standards, and IP protection compliance.
Other Responsibilities
Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
Represent the function in technical forums and strategic collaborations benchmark against industry standards.
Identify emerging trends/risks/opportunities and recommend future investments/critical initiatives.
Integrates AI assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
PhD ≥5 yrs, or Master's ≥7 yrs, or Bachelor's ≥10 yrs of relevant experience in
Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field,
With demonstrated experience in Wet Process research & development in semiconductor technology development
Must‑have Technical Skills
Possess a deep understanding of the process technologies such as Vapor etch, wet strip, dry strip, selective chemical etching, etc.
Familiarity with electrical evaluation methods and fab metrology tools (e.g., CD‑SEM, thickness measurement, particle counters).
DOE / SPC and data analysis systems (e.g., Y3) to analyze experimental outcomes.
Working knowledge of memory process flow (planar + vertical NAND context).
Must‑have Soft Skills
