The Principal Engineer provides technical leadership for advanced photolithography development programs, defining and executing technology and equipment roadmaps that improve margin, scalability, and manufacturability. This role influences integration strategy, mentors engineers, and drives innovation across development teams.
Main Responsibilities
Lead photolithography process development across advanced technology nodes.
Define and execute photolithography process and equipment roadmaps aligned with future device requirements.
Drive early adoption of innovative materials, processes, and patterning schemes.
Lead cross‑functional development programs and influence integration decisions.
Partner strategically with suppliers to accelerate breakthrough solutions.
Other Responsibilities
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across projects.
Generate intellectual property through patents and technical publications.
Integrates AI assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
PhD ≥5 yrs, or Master's ≥7 yrs, or Bachelor's ≥10 yrs of relevant experience in
Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field, with demonstrated experience in semiconductor photolithography process development.
Must‑Have Technical Skills
Proven track record in defining and accomplishing photolithography process & equipment roadmaps
Deep knowledge in optics, immersion lithography, polarized illumination, and low k1 imaging
Advanced proficiency in lithography simulation tools, material characterization, DOE, SPC, and basic statistical data analysis
