We are seeking a highly qualified Principal Design Engineer/Manager specializing in optoelectronics, particularly in semiconductor-based light-emitting devices. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or PhD, with a strong focus on the analysis, design, and fabrication of optoelectronic devices, specifically laser diodes (LD) and light-emitting diodes (LED).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of optoelectronic devices (LD/LED).
- Conduct detailed analysis of optoelectronic device epitaxial growth, ensuring high-quality results tailored for LD applications.
- Oversee wafer fabrication process integration and reliability performance characterization, with a focus on III-V semiconductors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and optimize fabrication specifications and parameters for LD/LED products.
- Perform design simulations and generate comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Build and maintain a robust database of optoelectronic device designs and documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for the team.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with a preference for specialization in semiconductor-based light-emitting optoelectronics.
- Extensive knowledge of optoelectronic device epitaxial growth processes, particularly for laser diodes.
- Expertise in wafer fabrication processes and reliability testing, especially for III-V materials.
- Proven experience in design optimization for LD/LED, including simulations and parameter tuning.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with various engineering and research teams.
- Familiarity with current trends and advancements in optoelectronics and semiconductor technologies.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a design or engineering team.
- Proficiency in relevant design and simulation software tools.
