We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves preparing technical documentation for transformer tenders and supporting the full design process, from concept to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical calculations, cost estimates, and technical data for tender submissions.
- Analyze design requirements to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide technical support during the tender process.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to source quotations for special accessories and equipment.
- Develop electrical designs and winding Bill of Materials (BOM), including schematic and layout drawings for transformer manufacturing.
- Perform feasibility studies and simulations to optimize performance.
- Support ad-hoc tasks such as site surveys, technical meetings, and preparation of approval drawings.
Requirements:
- Min Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, preferably with a focus on electrical power engineering.
- Knowledge of transformer design and related industry standards (IEC, IEEE) is added advantage
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D or similar CAD software is added advantage
- Familiarity with programming languages like C, C++ is a plus.
