About the Role
The Business Analytics Principal in the Claims Department is responsible for leading analytical initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, improve claims outcomes, and drive strategic decision-making. This role supports the organisation in leveraging data to modernise claims processes, strengthen risk management, and optimise customer and business value.
- Lead the development and execution of analytical strategies that improve claims performance, operational efficiency, and decision quality.
- Analyse claims trends, performance indicators, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation.
- Support digital transformation efforts by integrating analytical insights into workflows, systems, and operational practices across the Claims function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytics tools that support proactive management of claims.
- Partner with Claims Team Lead, Technology, and other business units to design and implement data-driven solutions that enhance claims accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
- Provide expert insights to senior leadership by translating complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Find ways to optimise claims processes through data, including automation initiatives, AIdriven enhancements, and ongoing oversight of AI model performance to ensure accuracy and fairness.
- Use data to detect fraud, wastage, and abuse by developing earlywarning indicators, anomaly detection models, and targeted investigative insights.
Experience/ Qualifications
- Over 8 years of experience in fast-paced environment previous experience in insurance industry will be a strong advantage.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel.
- Track record in analysing large datasets capability in executing full data cycle including database management, data extraction and visualization.
- Highly motivated individual who possess intellectual curiosity, strong problem solving and communication skills with a can-do attitude.
- Fast learner, willing to take initiative and ownership.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable data solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading crossfunctional initiatives and managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in data science/ statistics/ computer science/ Information Technology will be an advantage.
