Principal Architect - Banking Applications

We're Hiring a Senior Architect, Banking in Singapore

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Architect to own architecture direction across multiple banking portfolios. You will partner with customer senior leadership, architects and engineering leads to set technology direction, drive modernization and raise engineering standards.

What you'll do

• Own the target-state architecture and technology roadmap across multiple application portfolios.
• Set architecture standards, reusable patterns and governance, and provide design assurance across portfolios.
• Lead architecture assessments, technology evaluations and POCs, and challenge designs, estimates and delivery risks.
• Drive adoption of microservices, APIs, cloud-native, DevSecOps and observability practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer architects and technology leaders, presenting modernization roadmaps and architecture decisions.
• Mentor technical leads and architects to raise solution quality and delivery outcomes.

What you bring

• 15+ years in software engineering, including significant architecture leadership in large-scale banking or financial services.
• Depth in at least two banking domains.
• Strong grounding in microservices, DDD, and API-led and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure / AWS / Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD.
• Credibility with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Preferred: payments or transaction banking background, regional or global bank experience, and exposure to cloud transformation programmes.
