About Our Client

Our Client is a leading port and logistics operator in Singapore, managing one of the world's busiest container terminals. They are seeking experienced Prime Mover Operators to safely and efficiently move containers across the terminal in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Role Overview

As a Prime Mover Operator, you will be responsible for the safe movement of ISO containers between vessels, yards, and gate areas within the terminal. You will operate heavy prime mover vehicles fitted with skeletal trailers and work closely with crane operators and ground supervisors to maintain terminal flow and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

. Operate prime mover vehicles with skeletal trailers to transport ISO containers within the port terminal

. Follow movement instructions from the terminal operating system (TOS) and ground supervisors

. Position prime movers accurately under quay cranes, rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, and at gate systems

. Conduct mandatory pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections and report defects immediately

. Maintain strict compliance with all port authority traffic regulations, safety protocols, and equipment handling procedures

. Communicate clearly with crane operators and operations control via radio when required

. Record vehicle usage, trip logs, and incident reports accurately

. Support operational flexibility by adapting to changing container flow requirements across shifts

Requirements

. Valid Class 4 or Class 5 driving licence (Singapore)Class 4E / 5 preferred

. Prior experience operating prime movers in a port, container depot, or heavy logistics environment strongly preferred

. Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends and public holidays

. Strong spatial awareness and vehicle manoeuvring skills in confined terminal zones

. Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor, exposed environment across all weather conditions

. Committed to safety-first operations and able to follow detailed procedural instructions

. Able to read and understand basic operational instructions and TOS system prompts in English
