JOB DETAILS
- Operate Prime Movers to transport containers from Wharf to Yard (vice-versa)
- Working hours: 12 hour rotating shift, starting 7.30am/7.30pm
- Working days: 22-25 days per month
- Location: PSA container terminal
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Open to Singaporeans, Singapore PRs or LTVP/LTVP+ holders with valid Letter of Consent only
- Valid Class 3A Driving Licence
- Minimum education: PSLE English Grade C, N(A) Level 5, N(T) Level D or WPLN (Reading, Listening, Numeracy) Level 4
- Physically fit as candidates are required to handle heavy equipment
JOB DUTIES
- Conduct pre-op and post-op checks
- Comply to PSA traffic/safety rules, procedures and systems
- Communicate with operational groups
- Operate prime mover PC
- Mount and unmount containers safely
- Refuel the prime mover
- Prepare the vehicle for handover
- Comply with Workplace and Health safety regulations
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe loading and unloading of containers from vessels
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured onto the vehicle before moving off
- Avoid/prevent possibilities of incidents/accidents and comply with safety regulations
- Ensure correct containers are being loaded by checking the container number
- Deliver containers on time from point to point
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and hygiene
- Report and damages/incidents to superior immediately
- Attend toolbox briefing prior to commencement of work
- Perform all instructions and duties as briefed by supervisor
- Comply with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Observe and comply to all Workplace Safety standards, protocols, duties and responsibilities
Interviews conducted weekly (usually on Wednesdays)
